Tremendous Thursday

What have the infants been up to today? Emma has been busy  making biscuits and playing out with water balloons. You can't beat a good old water fight. Who got the wettest?  Isabella and Alfie have been out on the farm..... measuring the length of the flat bed trailer, measuring the waist of a lamb, weighing out a 400g sheep corn portion and finding out how many litres a calf bucket holds. Practically experimenting in this way is the best way to gain a really good understanding of measurement. I think we'll have to visit to your farm next time we learn about measurement! Well done Isabella and Alfie, this is fantastic. Isabella has also been practicing her recorder as well as her other home learning activities. I can't wait to hear you play Au Clair de la Lune Isabella. T ed has been using the online learning and the phonics games today, as well as some writing. He is going to make cheese scones tomo

Morning you terrors! I made a video for you on my walk but you know, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Today it won't upload. Dang! Anyway, I saw this chap today, he's our seriously cool, resident heron. I love it when we see him when we're walking. Today we also saw ducks, a sweet little bird with a yellow tail and we often see rabbits and deer. The other day we even saw a badger in the hollow of a tree! The wildlife is incredible and it's exciting wondering what we might see each time we go out. What wildlife do you come across on your walks? I'd love to see. It's a beautiful morning so make the most it. Forest school later, what exciting things have you got planned? Sol and Leah did some cool things earlier in the week, I'd like to try some of those ideas out. Have a fabulous day. Looking forward to seeing your pictures later, they always make me happy. Stay safe and look after each other. Miss F

Superhero Day!

Who is going to be a superhero today?! Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary. ~ Gerard Way At 11am today the country is going to stop for a minute's silence to remember some real life superheroes. Just like your favourite cape-wearing superhero, these people have served and protected people during a tough time.  https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52450138 'National Superhero Day on April 28th is a special day in the year, not only for kids to become their favourite superheroes, but for parents to celebrate their amazing children and the incredible things they have achieved to save the day.' Let me know if you do anything 'super' today. Mrs C
