RE- Hidden Meaning Boxes

Image
Monday 9th October 2023  The Parable of the Lost Son - Hidden Meaning Boxes  In RE, the Tigers have been reading the parable of the Lost Son. We have learnt that a parable is a story with a hidden meaning. So today, we have made hidden meaning boxes. On the outside we decorated with drawings relating to the story and hidden away on the inside is the true meaning.

As part of our Science topic, Materials, we explored our woodland to find as many different types of material as we could. The children were tasked with finding and naming as many different natural and human-made materials as possible.

On a Thursday afternoon, I have the pleasure of teaching the Tigers. We have a focus on Science, with plenty of outdoor learning. We know how important physical activity is and we love to get lots of equipment out at afternoon play to help us develop new skills, exercise our bodies, as well as having lots of fun! Mrs Chapman

In Science this week, the children took their knowledge of materials and their properties, and Venn diagrams and carried out Scientific investigations. The children named and found a wide range of different materials and we tested to see if they were ‘waterproof’ and ‘transparent’.
