‘Alive or not?’ and tree identification

Tigers went into the woods this afternoon to conduct some science investigations. Firstly, the children had to categorise things under the headings: Alive; Never Alive; Was Alive; Not Sure. The children had some great discussions, including whether fire and eggs were alive.
The children then used an information sheet to help them to identify some of the trees in our woods by looking at the twigs and buds.
