After finding out lots of information about Tower Bridge this morning, the infants created their own bridges during forest schools this afternoon. They came up with different designs and thought carefully about how to make them.
The Tigers have had a fabulous day at Sudbury Hall in Ashbourne! We found it what it was like to be a Victorian school child in the Victorian classroom, including having a go at real Victorian lessons. After lunch, we investigated and explored the museum of childhood. The children even got to test our life as a chimney sweep!
On Friday morning the Tigers took a trip to Paris in the school hall (once we had gotten through passport control!). The Tigers learnt all about French food, wrote postcards in French, and visited an ice cream shop, asking for their ice creams in French.
This week in our Science lessons, the Y2 Tigers have gone down to the church with the Bears to observe and draw various trees - evergreen and deciduous alike. It was great to spend an afternoon out in the fresh air!
