Planting seeds

As part of our new topic, the children in Tigers and Bears planted seeds that we will be looking after this half term. We all planted cress seeds and the children then chose to plant either chives, basil or parsley. The children learnt that plants need light, water, food and air to grow. 

We also planted some cress seeds for an experiment. We have planted 2 in soil. 1 will be watered but have no light and the other will get light but no water. We have planted 3 more on plates without soil. 1 is on wet cotton wool, 1 on wet paper towels and 1 in water. We will monitor these plants to see how each is affected.
