Avast! Some fun little extras for you land lubbers! (Tue 21st April)

Avast! (stop)

I have searched all the way to Davy Jones's Locker (the bottom of the ocean) to find you some of the most exciting ways to learn this week!

Andy Sanders - Author and Illustrator
I told you last week about a fun opportunity to learn to draw Robots and Dinosaurs with the author who visited us a couple of years ago, Andy Sanders! Some of you were sad to miss out, but don't worry; that tutorial is still available. Andy is also doing an exciting new drawing lesson this week (on Wednesday) which you can access here

Ahoy! Pirates on BBC Bitesize!
I told you yesterday about daily lessons on BBC Bitesize. Well, I checked these out and they're absolutely great! I had a sneak peak at today's Geography lesson and it has a game about pirates!!! Check it out here (game at the bottom of the page).

Raz is not just for Thursdays!
If you were to ask me what the one most important bit of learning you could be doing at home is, I would say READING! Read, read, read. Not only is reading a joy but it helps you in every area of school. I can see that many of you have already been accessing and enjoying Raz-kids - well done! You can pop onto it whenever you have a spare moment during the day. If you have any questions or if the reading level is too easy/hard for you then drop me an email and let me know.

Mountain Leopard Training
I've mentioned this fantastic resource before but I spotted such a good idea last week that I had to share again. Mountain Leopard Training are putting daily forest school ideas on their website, which can be found here. Last week there was a brilliant session showing you how to find North using a watch!

Another favourite of mine is this hoopla game that you can make yourself.

I can't wait to see what you all get up to. I'm loving the emails I've been receiving with updates and pictures so keep them coming.

Have a great one Tigers!
