Making equal groups

We have been learning how to group objects equally. We discussed the terms ‘equal’ and ‘unequal’ before finding a given number of objects around the field and sharing the quantity equally into a certain number of groups. We were also able to draw upon our knowledge of counting and skip counting to check ours answers.

We also investigated and discussed the numbers that we couldn’t share equally between certain groups.

The children showed a good understanding of making equal groups and it was wonderful to see how they applied their other knowledge to help them solve the problems. Great stuff.
