Story planning walk

When developing our own ideas for a story, it helps enormously to discuss our thoughts with others. This helps us to develop our ideas and ensure that we have a clear vision for our story.

Earlier in the week, the children designed and built their own towers. Today, they began to think about a story that could be set in their tower. We went on a walk around the school grounds to give the children plenty of time to discuss their story ideas. Once we had returned to the classroom, the children were ready to put their ideas into a story plan.

Ask your child about their tower story this weekend. Your conversations with them will be invaluable for developing their skills as story tellers.
