Super authors

I was incredibly proud of my Tigers on Tuesday. Last week, they wrote some amazing stories based on Oliver Jeffers' Lost and Found. They wanted to share their stories with the rest of the school so that's what they did in our Collective Worship this week.

Completely planned and led by the children, it was a wonderful celebration of their hard work. Nobody was pressured into reading their stories in front of the school (which is a big deal!) but just look how many of our class chose to do so! Wow! Those that didn't want to, filmed their story-telling instead, and these will be sent around to the other classes so that they can listen to them during their story times. I'm incredibly proud of every member of the class for their fantastic stories, as well as their enthusiasm for sharing them in whichever way they chose to do so.

Tiger's plans for Collective Worship:

  • Mats and benches set out to make people comfortable whilst watching
  • Meditation music and images for children to enter the hall to (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofUOATVjKF0)
  • Worship song (inspired by the Giraffes last week): 'You can hold on' by Fischy Music ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrKnXtX8-aI )
  • Prayers: Dear Lord, Thank you for food. Thank you for our houses. Thank you for our friends. Thank you for our families. Thank you for keeping us safe and warm. Please help us to love each other. Please help us to be kind to each other. Amen
