Ruling the school

This afternoon, Tigers and Bears learnt about some important rulers from the past: Queen Victoria and Boudicca.

Years 1 and 2 then thought about rules and ideas that they would implement if they were Rulers of our school. Each group presented their ideas and came under intense questioning about their plans; defending their ideas as well as adapting their ideas to overcome problems that the other children identified. Here are some of the ideas presented:

  • Playing all day
  • Sweets in maths books
  • 550 Phonics lessons
  • A zoo at school
  • A dragon at school
  • Listening
  • Kindness
  • Donuts for lunch
  • Quiet
  • Make box forts every day
  • No learning
