Wormery fun

We have been learning all about worms this afternoon and the important role they play- helping to decompose matter and cleaning soil. We also found out some of their interesting features that help them to survive.

Together in the woods, we made a wormery so that we can continue to observe them and understand them more.

The children really enjoyed putting the wormery together- putting layers of soil, sand and leaves then wetting the soil and of course looking for worms to add to it.
