‘Wild Weeks’

On Tuesday, Tigers learnt so much about our very own Taddington field and woodland from Helen who works with Buxton Wild Weeks.

Firstly, we went on a hunt for ladybird larvae.

We then found a wide range of different flowers on our field, some of which we had no idea were flowers at all!

The children found ‘cuckoo spit’ and learnt about the froghopper (or spittlebug) inside it.

To support us with our current writing project of Tree reports, we spent the rest of the morning learning all about the different types of trees in our woodland.
