Incarnation: Advent Celebrations

This half term the Tigers have been learning all about incarnation and the Gospel of Luke.

This week we went on a 'Christmas is coming walk' in our local area. We spotted the crib, Christmas trees, lights and beautiful decorations all around the village. We also shared what we do in our own homes with our families to get ready for Christmas. We mentioned that in our homes we use advent calendars. We discussed that the word 'advent' means the arrival of something or someone and that Christians use advent to prepare for celebrating the birth of Jesus.

We were even lucky enough to be invited down to the church to celebrate advent traditions with them, and to help make a crib scene.
