Exploring 2d shapes 🔷🟥

Today, the Y2 children have been exploring 2d shape. In Maths we always try to show our understanding in three different ways- three is the magic number! 

The Tigers took on the challenge of creating 2d shapes in many different ways using peg boards, geo boards, sticks and different shapes to create patterns.

We are Water Protectors!

Tuesday 7th November 2023  We are Water Protectors! Today, the Tigers arrived in class to find a river and lots of paper fish swimming around our classroom. After discussing the title of our new story, ‘We are Water Protectors’ we discussed why water is important and special. We talked about all the reasons why we need to protect the water on our earth. On the fish and waves we wrote sentences about why water is important and needs to be looked after, before decorating our river with vocabulary all about water.
