Read-a-thon

For the first part of our Read-a-thon, Tigers and Bears cosied up and listened to the audiobook of Fantastic Mr Fox. The children enjoyed finding a comfy spot and just listening. Asking our younger children to sit still for an extended period of time can be a challenge but is so beneficial to show them the joy of stillness and stories.

Tigers then chose a book to read independently. They often love to share their books in reading time and it is a joy to hear them discuss what they are reading. However, today they were encouraged to focus on the pleasure of ‘getting lost’ in a book.
