Arrrrr! Rain won't stop us pirates!

Ahoy there mateys!
You're doing me, and yourselves, proud every day. 
I am loving hearing about all of things you've been up to, whether that be via email or on the phone. You're all simply marvellous!

Captain Alfie and Buccaneer Isabella
As well as plenty of fantastic Maths and English work (a little taster of Alfie's writing below), these two landlubbers have been having bucket loads of pirate fun. Their treasure chests put mine to shame!! And they've made some wonderful pirate treasure to go in them. Excellent pirating!




Ted
Look how hard Ted has been working! He's also been watching BBC Bitesize on the TV which he thought was great.



Cricket-whisperer Connie and Cow-serenader Layla
More wonderful Maths and English work from these two smilers. They've even made time to tame the local wildlife, as well as doing some stone painting! Mr Handley will be thrilled to see how hard Layla is working on her joined handwriting and Connie's writing is also looking beautiful.

Sudbury Hall 🏯✏️🧮

 The Tigers have had a fabulous day at Sudbury Hall in Ashbourne! We found it what it was like to be a Victorian school child in the Victorian classroom, including having a go at real Victorian lessons. After lunch, we investigated and explored the museum of childhood. The children even got to test our life as a chimney sweep!
