Designing and making bath toys

 

Bath Toys

    Tigers class have been working on designing and making bath toys.

Following on from our investigations into waterproof materials, the children created a design for their own bath toy.

We evaluated how we could work with waterproof materials such as plastic and rubber without the equipment used to produce bath toys in factories.

The children came up with some great ideas for what they could use:

Plastic: Lego, bags and cups

Rubber: balloons

Good morning lovely Tigers! What a beautiful morning it is!  I'm about to go and put on my PE kit ready for PE with Joe; who's joining me? I'm excited to see what learning you all get up to today. We are Water Protectors!

Tuesday 7th November 2023  We are Water Protectors! Today, the Tigers arrived in class to find a river and lots of paper fish swimming around our classroom. After discussing the title of our new story, ‘We are Water Protectors’ we discussed why water is important and special. We talked about all the reasons why we need to protect the water on our earth. On the fish and waves we wrote sentences about why water is important and needs to be looked after, before decorating our river with vocabulary all about water.
