Tigers have been learning about how pirates navigated using compasses. They used compasses to find North in our playground then we played a game to practise directions.
What an incredible day in Derby today. We were all so very proud of our wonderful Taddington children for their superb behaviour and the true respect that they showed in each place of worship. We were shown around each place of worship by someone who either practices, or who is knowledgeable in, that faith. They taught us so much about their faiths and the children asked many thoughtful questions. Mosque Hindu Temple Sikh Gurdwara Derby and the Open Centre

Tuesday 7th November 2023 We are Water Protectors! Today, the Tigers arrived in class to find a river and lots of paper fish swimming around our classroom. After discussing the title of our new story, ‘We are Water Protectors’ we discussed why water is important and special. We talked about all the reasons why we need to protect the water on our earth. On the fish and waves we wrote sentences about why water is important and needs to be looked after, before decorating our river with vocabulary all about water.
