Microhabitats
During forest school, we have continued with our science topic ‘Animal Survival’. We have been investigating microhabitats and identifying a variety of plants and animals that live in them. We identified rocks, trees, ponds and bushes as microhabitats within the larger habitats of our school field and woods. We used scientific equipment such as petri dishes and magnifying glasses to take a closer look at the living things in order to identify them.
