Exploration Walk: Shelter Spotting!


Today, the Tigers went on an exploration walk to spot and investigate shelters in Taddington. We all had a shelter spotting sheet to record what we found. On our walk we discussed the purpose of different shelters, their materials and how they are made strong and sturdy, whether these structures are temporary or permanent and their similarities and differences. We also spotted some that were not on our lists!

 The Tigers have had a fabulous day at Sudbury Hall in Ashbourne! We found it what it was like to be a Victorian school child in the Victorian classroom, including having a go at real Victorian lessons. After lunch, we investigated and explored the museum of childhood. The children even got to test our life as a chimney sweep!
