Types of Settlement 

Today, the the Tigers have been exploring the different types of settlement found in the United Kingdom, both in our local area and beyond. Working in groups, the children have created some amazing model settlements of a village, a city and a town to represent some of the physical and human features found in these settlements. 


In the city we had a train station, shops, a skyscraper and even some beautifully created landmarks! 

In the town we had a roundabout, houses, a bus station and a leisure centre. 

In the village, this group created a church, houses and cottages a school and even a farm with animals!

Sudbury Hall 🏯✏️🧮

 The Tigers have had a fabulous day at Sudbury Hall in Ashbourne! We found it what it was like to be a Victorian school child in the Victorian classroom, including having a go at real Victorian lessons. After lunch, we investigated and explored the museum of childhood. The children even got to test our life as a chimney sweep!
