TARMAC Visit 🚜🪨

Tuesday 9th January 2024 

The Tigers and Bears welcomed a visitor to tell us all about what happens at one of our local quarry’s. The children asked many thoughtful questions and were exited to see different types of rocks, equipment used in the quarry and watch some videos taken just this morning of what working in a quarry looks like- and who know that limestone was in toothpaste?!

We are Water Protectors!

Tuesday 7th November 2023  We are Water Protectors! Today, the Tigers arrived in class to find a river and lots of paper fish swimming around our classroom. After discussing the title of our new story, ‘We are Water Protectors’ we discussed why water is important and special. We talked about all the reasons why we need to protect the water on our earth. On the fish and waves we wrote sentences about why water is important and needs to be looked after, before decorating our river with vocabulary all about water.
