Plants

In Science this week, Tigers crammed in so much learning about plants. They recalled their wildflower identification mission from a couple of weeks ago and showed off their knowledge of how plants change throughout the seasons. They learnt fancy words such as 'deciduous'. We then went outside with the challenge of creating a plant rainbow. We made predictions about what colour we thought would easiest to find and which would be the hardest.

Our finished plant rainbow:

Yellow and green were found very quickly:

A patch of forget-me-nots gave us our blue section:

With orange proving tricky, the children began to think outside the box and found some orange leaves that had fallen from the trees:

Finally we found some red, although these needed to be foraged from the forest floor:

Sep decided he would like to branch out and create his own plant collection and other children joined him in his mission.
