Chop, Slice and Mash 🥒🥕🍎🔪

 To begin our new Design and Technology Topic, ‘Chop, Slice and Mash’, the Tigers have been exploring and investigating different ways to prepare food, for example grating, chopping, slicing, peeling and mashing. After we had finished we of course had to do a taste test! We tried each of the fruits and vegetables and explained their texture, taste and appearance.

 What a wonderful afternoon we have had with ‘The History Van’. We have experienced what life was like before electricity in our homes.  We have had hands-on experience ironing, washing clothes, experiencing with old inventions and cleaning up! We have also wrote a post card using ink with a penny black stamp.

 This week in our Science lessons, the Y2 Tigers have gone down to the church with the Bears to observe and draw various trees - evergreen and deciduous alike. It was great to spend an afternoon out in the fresh air!
